2019 Honda Ridgeline

The Honda Ridgeline is a stylish and capable mid-size pickup truck.  It is no wonder it was recently honored with inclusion on the Car and Driver 10Best Trucks Lists for the mid-size pickup category.

In explaining its selection of the Ridgeline, Car and Driver editors concluded that the Honda had the right attributes of a mid-sized pickup. After all, it can haul up to 5,000 pounds and packs a payload of 1,580. This means you can trailer your light boat to the lake for a weekend easily. That’s not all. The Ridgeline’s rear seat was the most spacious among mid-sized trucks. It also has the quietest cabin, and superior outward visibility. Altogether, they found it was a comfortable pickup that also handles like a charm.

The Ridgeline’s 3.5-liter V-6 is silky smooth, and its ability to take care of high-speed business is excellent. One of the publication’s tests, a real-world 75-mph highway run, returned fuel economy in the 28 mpg range, which is no easy feat.  The EPA- estimated fuel economy is an impressive 19 mpg city/ 26 mpg highway*.

The Honda Ridgeline certainly deserved the Car and Driver 10Best award. Indeed, the staff of the publication, put it best, when it said that for them, the Ridgeline was a great family vehicle that happens to have a pickup bed. That’s pretty strong praise for this capable and comfortable truck.
